Just to put in my useless 2 pennies...
Those old Executechs are about the most durable KSUs you will ever find.
The phones tended to have button problems crop up, but they can be rebuilt.
We still repair TONS of those phones (6414, 3503, 3808, etc) for end users with small offices who do not need the bells and whistles of a more up to date system.

The best part today is that I got to work on an Executech 2000. I remember what I disliked most about the 6700-S phones, and it was minor. The best part was this phone system had to be 15 years old and it was still playing and all of the phones were in pretty good shape, except for the one that didn't have any LED's. I couldn't get into the programming port, so I had to go down to the master phone and read the baud rate...who would have guessed 9600 when it was supposed to have remonte maintenance?

Once I got into it, it was like riding a bicycle :-) Geeze, with button mapping and copy commands, it was pretty advanced for its time.

I have advanced too, befure I used to use Procom, now I use hyperterm. It was great to print out station features and be able to scroll back up and see them.

Well that's good to know. This is the first comdial system that I have ever gotten a chance to work on. Can programming be done from any phone such as the 6414?

Yes, the system can only be programmed using an 8-line keyset, such as a 3508, 3598 or 6414.

Thanks for letting me know. Do any of you have a wiring diagram for the two amphenol connectors when pinned out on a 66 block?

Let me know if you get it and have fun with the system.

I'm trying this from memory but I think station 10 will be the first 2 pair on J1. The blue pair will be voice and the orange pair will be data.
The next 2 pair will be for the console of station 10 if you use one.
Next station (port 11)will be next 2 pair. The 2 pair that follow that will be the console for station 11. The rest of the ports do not have console ports. One point with this system, if you are talking on one station and unplug the data paired station your call will be dropped. Paired stations are 10&11, 12&13 and so on.
I'm not in the office to look this up but Ed or one of the Comdial mods will have the book for sure. They will set you straight if I messed up. laugh

I thought that paired station knock off thing started with the XE systems. But I could be wrong.
