Evening to all and Happy St. Pat's day! I just acquired an old Comdial Executech phone system. It has no model number on it that I can tell, and would like to get to know it so I can get phones for it. I am phoneless at the moment. It has all of the connections on the right side, has a solid red indicator light when plugged in, 6 line ports, and two amphenol connectors near the bottom of the case. I took a few pictures of it, and will post them right away. I just wanted to get my post in before everyone went to bed Thanks in advance.

What color is the cabinet, if it's black, I got phones, and it's probably an no616. aka 616xe. If it's tan, the phones are really old and probably an ebay item. Mark

The model number was on it! It's on that sticker. 0616X 809C.C SN 810179 I am not sure what kind of phones this unit uses, digital? analog? Would these be phones for it? External Link

Until your listing I've never heard of 3502's...I know your system there will take 3508's as well as 6414's...this system's pretty old, if you decide to hang on to it go with the 6414's...they're an improvement over the 3508's.

I'm not sure, I might try and sell it as an unknown condition/parts. The phones that I've seen for it are more than the price of phones for new systems!

To be frank with you...I would just trash it. It's not even worth the hassle to try to sell it. You'd be lucky to get $10 for it.

Wow, good thing this is posted in the Comdial thread. I'd hate to see what kind of bashing you'd get if you posted it in another group LOL
Yes, it's a Comdial 616 which used Analog phones. The 3503/3508 phones which nobody still uses, or the 6414's. It probably has no clock, so a display phone would be redundant. You also have the option, IIRC of using 6700 series phones. Now those are junk :-)
Since there's no clock or display phones, it has a whole raft of features missing for a modern phone system. Kind of like making a market in Tie EconoKeys.
If you can grab the phones at maybe $50 a piece, it's a system. My Comdial supplier is about 12 miles from my office and they have tons of phones, but I doubt it's worth the effort.
