Bill, don't count upon me too much on this one. I've only spot-checked the orientation of the pairs and pins on the cable itself.
Here's why I think that the cable is a standard M-M 25 pair. Even with a longer cable, the system works. It just doesn't work reliably. It took almost a week before we started to see problems that couldn't be explained. On the other hand, it worked perfectly with the factory cable.
On that note, I'm going to have to say that the jury is out on this one.
