I have an old (1994) system. The attendant's phone with the LED display still works normally, but after a power outage, the other 2 handsets will not audibly ring. The line ringing in will flutter, but you have to look for it to know a call is coming in. Also, when I activate my attached wireless headset, it does not automatically connect the call like it used to. You have to punch the button to connect. Any help with these issues would be appreciated!!

Chances are that your system has lost all programming due to a failed memory retention battery. The default program is running, where only the attendant phone rings. The system will need to be reprogrammed in order for the other telephone sets to ring. Same with your headset operation.
You'll need to reprogram all of these features or try to find someone locally who can do this for you. It shouldn't take long, but remember that you'll have to do this again the next time the power fails. Honestly, 15 years out of a memory battery is an impressive run. This is not a user-replaceable battery as it is soldered in place.

I think the memory battery is in the upper right quater (a lithum) which is replaceable by lifting the tab and inserting a new one could be wrong been wrong before.

We have been able to re-adjust the ring tone, using #07. So, I know the ring function CAN operate, it's just that it is not doing so on an incoming call. I opened up the back, didn't see anything that looked like a lithium battery.
Could it be something as simple as turning the system off and on again? Would that hurt to try?? Thanks again in advance.

Thanks Jim - now that I have extracted the battery, I am on the hunt for a 3v Lihium #BR 2325.... Any suggestions on where to look? Walgreens was a no-go.
