I think there are entire web site dedicated to pointing out a lot of them. Its kind of live someone driving up in a new BMW and beeping the horn and having it sound like a 1962 VM beetle. Its just out of place.

I've noticed a lot of Cisco phones too. The funny thing is...they never have any cables connected to them in the movies. I'm just too upset to comment on the Apple thing....MACs RULE! If you haven't owned one, you wouldn't understand. If you have owned one, you'll probably own another. ------------------ BCM Guy www.BCMguy.com Learn more about the Nortel Networks Business Communications Manager HERE !

Sorry, my friend, but this is a forum for telephone system technicians, not one for "which computer is best". Apple or PC has nothing to do with us (for now!).

I've been a telephone technician for 22 years! I only mentioned the apple thing because it was a secondary topic in this thread. Note the :raz: in my post. It was all in good fun! Have a GREAT day! ------------------ BCM Guy www.BCMguy.com Learn more about the Nortel Networks Business Communications Manager HERE !

it could be the placement thing , a lot of products are placed in movies and tv for us to see with the idea that if our favorite show uses it then we will to.
watch the credits of a old andy of maybery it will sya "vehicles provided by ford motor " ford gave them the cars for free publicity .
I would imagine Avaya either pays for placement or comps the producer/studio with a usable system in exchange for placement
its ALL a comercial .
