I have a KXTDA-50 with a KXVA-50. Tried to upgrade the firmware from 6 to 7 but the new version would not take my previous license key. Does it require a new key for the upgrade? What is new in Version 7 firmware as hope to fix a CID issue that was fixed in other systems. Also can never get the LCS(live call screen) to work. Turned it on the COS and extension settings but no go. All lines ring by a ICD group 601 and then no answer timed out to the VM so don't know if LCS only works at a single extension call. Thanks

not sure about the tda 50, but all tda systems here stop at v5 and are not going to go any higher

LCS is for call to 1 extension only. New software allows the new 500 phones among other things.

As far as i know, the KX-TDA50 stops at Ver6.0 unless recently released.
Secondly, registration i suppose is dependant on the MPR ID. So if it's the same i think it should be able to register.
NB: I usually keep my registration files archived not to get infected. However, you can contact your dealer to re-register the system.
Also you will need the latest Ver of the Maintenance console since Maintenance console Ver7.7 supports KX-TDA50 only upto to Ver6.0
