I have a Mitel sx50 console that's has a clicking sound heard during calls. Sounds like fluttering battery, station to station calling is ok just noisy when called to console or from console. Replaced console same result. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this or what may be causing this.

I've had that problem when the wiring was cat3. Try plugging the console in directly to the control card. If no clicking then check the wiring and the jack. Make sure it's wired correctly also.

Plugged console into control card hear same noisy slightly in background. When extended from equipment its popping and clicking when you call a station. Is there a wiring chart for the connector to match the three pairs correctly. Just wanted to make sure there's not a reversal.

If you are plugged into the Control Card's console port and you still hear the noise, you have other problems.

Pull out all the station and trunk modules except the first slot. Make a test call to an extension in that slot. If you have the noise, replace the card in slot one with another and repeat the test. If you still have noise, replace the control card. If the noise went away, you had a defective module in slot one. If the noise went away with just the console and one station module, then continue to add modules, making test calls with each added module. You will eventually find the offending module.
