I found a glitch that might help troubleshoot the issue. When I transfer a call to 238 it rings and then go to VM but then it ask the caller to enter a security code instead of platying the ext greeting. So the call is stuck here. That leads me to believe that the forwarding somewhere is not set correctly.

I spoke too soon. After I fussed with ext 238 going though prog 01 - 04 I had to reprogram #656 and #657. After I did this the VM now goes to mailbox 238 and played the mailbox greeting.
However, transferring 538 still goes silently to the phone ext, I see the button light blinking (##538) but the call still goes nowhere! Arrgh!
