I have one phone extension, 38, that is giving me grief.
I've check *04 name, ownership is fine, button PDN is ok, button Phdn ##538 is on the phone
#656 91 238 RDL is okay. #402 and #401 checks fine.
For some reason I can't transfer 538 to voicemail. It goes to 238 instead. The odd part is that even though I program #601 850 to one ring I still get four rings before it hit the extension and then transfer to VM. If I turn on DND it will go directly to VM. What I would prefer is to have DND off and tranfer a call to 538, voicemail, instead of 238.
What am I doing wrong?

I have one phone extension, 38, that is giving me grief. Do you mean 238? And does ##538 appear on extension 238? When you say you can't transfer 538 to voicemail and it goes to 238, do you mean that when you dial 538 the extension 238's PDN button rings?

I would remove it all and then reprogram it. Sounds like you have it all correct but there is a glitch. Also if you can try resting the system first.

Sorry yes I mean ext 238. Yes I have ##538 on the phone set. Yes I transfer a call to 538 (dial transfer and 538) from another extension on the display I see that it goes to 238 instead of directly to VM.

When you say remove it all you mean remove all phone extensions or just 238? How would I remove it. What is the process to reset the system properly? Just a power cycle?

Reseting the system would be powering off, waiting maybe 30 seconds and powering back on, this would clear any transient glitches that have gotten into the cpu.
In programming, it would be removing the ## buttons, going out of programming, then going back in and restoring them and forwarding them to voicemail. At least I think that what was indicated.

Are you forwarding and entering the voicemail ID (#656 & #657) from the PHDN or the PDN

Yes check *71, I think you need it even when doing fwd always (#601). If you need to remove program I meant all the phantom ext programs for 538 on 238 including the owner.

I check *71 for 538 and got GRP EK000-EK019 which is similar to all other PHDNs. Programmed (#656 91 238 redial) and also (#667 92 238 redial) Power cycle the system. I've added H to the end of the extension in VM. Still when I transfer a call to 538 it shows calling 238 and on 238 phone extension I see the button ##538 blinking but will not go to VM. The calls ring forever. I've removed 538 in *33 and added back in. Still no luck. I even changed phone sets. I have not removed ext 238 though I don't think that can be an issue. Can an extension go bad?
