Has anyone had any luck reducing the volume on the confirmation tone after a successful transfer or when an caller leaves a voicemail. The tone is incredibly loud and I have been receiving complaints from several MBX users.
Tech support said this via email. "Sorry but the horrible confirmation tone cannot be changed. Feel to report your dissatisfaction to your sale rep"

My customer complained of the error tone after a page. So I went into the tables and changed it to a music tone and shortened to the lowest value. Its been a while since I did this and next time I log into a MBX I'll list what I did.
I finally have figured this horrible tone out. In PGM 264, Tone Port 8 Changed Freq 1 to 425 Kept Freq 2 at 0 Kept Repeat at 1 Changed Section 1 ON and OFF to 32.
the result is a low, soft and quick tone that give the caller confirmation to leave a message and the user confirmation that a transfer is complete.
I have a customer who had an IDS system and hated the ring tones and dial tone on the MBX system, the tones really are different I modified the tones which was a pain but wasn't as big a pain as the customers complant.
