TIE Econo-Key 919D Anyone have any connection info on this system? It has three 25 pr connectors on the lower right hand side. Did it use 25xx or 28xx style phones? It also has several 400E line cards in it. I would like to get it operational again, provided it is compatible with a Touch-a-Matic and 2851CM.

If it is what I'm thinking, the answer is "sort of no". TIE's version of 1A2 didn't follow the standard 1A2 wiring scheme. It used a two-pair per line and had a lot of funky other connections, like power and common lamp grounds. If anything, their scheme was more similar to Comkey 718 systems.

I remember the 10 btn vertical keystrip and the woodgrain faceplate...other than that, it's been too many years!
I will keep searching, however...

I don't think I ever saw one!
But if it took 400 cards then why couldn't you get it it working with standard 1A2 sets?

Sam Kind of what I'm thinking, a little creative cross-connecting. Vern

I worked on a system that was ITT601 KSU and TIE 919D phones. It wasn't fun! You can probably make it work, but that manual is going to be critical. John C.

I know it can be done, in fact I've done it using the phones with a regular 584 panel as the KSU. I had to reverse-engineer the phones to figure out how to do it, but it can be done. Just remember that the line cord on the phones contains pink/yellow, brown/green, and a myriad of other strange colors. Be prepared to open up the phones' Amp connector and start tracing from scratch.

Sounds like a great brain teaser. After that we can do some wire wrap programming on a 2060.

brokeda, don't you mean a 2040/3060? 1 12" X 12" card for every phone, 6" X 12" card for each CO. 100 pound power supply that put out + and - 25VDC at 10 (!) AMPS on each leg. That the monster? And do you have a Power supply for one? Either the wall mount or the floor model? I have an alternative use, my model trains. Oh and arc welding! Wire it for 230 VAC input and connect to 120, for 12VDC! John C.
