so this is what i tell my customers that are like this. you can have cheap, or you can have what you want and need, but not both. i get this alot, and they will either spend thee money, or not. do not spend hours trying to make this guy happy. it cant be done. we he says, this doesnt look as good as my old one, tell him, i told you so.

ps. i have never seen a 16 channel dvr for less than a grand, list price.
