Greetings All, I have an AT&T 302A attendant console that sounds like an old 2-way radio. Refurbished ones are about $300 which ain't bad, but static sounds like a fixable option. I don't know. Looking for feedback. We had a backup to get them by for the time being, but need to get original repaired or replaced. Thanks for help!!

I would start by changing out the handset, 478A adapter and coil cord.

The internal contacts can get oxidized, get an electronic tuner cleaner(Blue Stuff is one) and spray it on the 1/4" male jacks, push in in a out a few times, that should make your static go away.
Wipe the prongs clean and your good to go.
