This customer has a V8.1x Adix, with a PRI, and is using analog ports for Polycom units.

When a call is made from any single line port, the initial call goes through (the PRI/optimized packet), but subsequent dialing is “doubled”. If I dial 1 2 3 4, The DTMF tones sound like this: 11 22 33 44…. And therefore the users can’t dial into a conference bridge or anything because they can’t input the conference number. This has been tested with a polycom unit, and also with a butt set. Always the same results.

If I make a call from a digital port, and then dial 1 2 3 4, the DTMF tones sound correct: 1 2 3 4

I’m thinking it can’t be anything in Class 11, because the digital ports work fine, so I'm guessing it isn’t line related.

I've tinkered with 10.26 and 10.28, but can't resolve the 'double dialing' issue.

The analog ports are configured SLT STD (DTMF) in Class 1.

Anybody ever run across this before, or have any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any insight!

Iwatsu Guru, did you mean change them to DP? I've run across this problem, once before, and that is the resolution I've had.

Turn off 'Dial on Conversation' in Class 10.28 for all your SLT ports.

PRI trunks have to be configured as DP- that's what they really are.

I tried turning off 'dial on' in 10.28... still had the 'double dialing' issue. (I only turned it off for the 4 ports that are used for the Polycom units.. shouldn't matter though, right?) And my PRI ports are set to DP. I'm about ready to throw in a different 8SUBS card, just for grins.

I had the same issue a while back and the change in 10.28 cleared it up. I don't recall if a system reset was needed, but it couldn't hurt.

Update - changing 10.28 for all the SLT ports took care of the issue. Don't understand why... but it did. smile Thanks to all for the input!
