hello this is my first time here, and I have a weird problem. We got the ESI C-100 series in my office and I have downloaded the system admin software. I create a new sites, put in the correct IP and the default port # is correct.
I start the site and i got onto the system everything was working great. but now when i try to connect again (NSP) it just tries to validate my password 3 times and it doesn't work. i get "Password Validation Failed" after 3-attempts.
No one else could have changed it, I have tried my ext. as the password, the default xxx as the password nothing is working. Please help me figure this out and/or reset the admin password.
The funny thing about this problem is that i tried it last week and it connected just fine, but i hadn't changed anything from then so why didn't it work the day before and now? It's a very weird occurrence and I am looking for any help!

Check to see if you can log in, in phone programming. If so your easiest fix is to re-power the phone system. Or, you can have ESI take a look at it and reset the log in session.
Don't let the "Password Validation Failed" message throw you. It could have absolutely nothing to do with the password. Any kind of communications issue could give you that same error.
You might also see what version of ESI Programmer you are running. I have had it do the same thing and I rebooted the system and restarted system programmer. We just put in 6 100's with ESI Link and have that come up once in a while and that is what we have done to un-stick it. Also as SST says check your NSP programming from phone programming, there could be something there.
Well you are using the latest version and also the correct software. Did you purchase this system from a local dealer. What is his or her response to this problem, assuming that they were the first contact point when the problem arose?
Well there is the problem we bought it from a company, and the ESI specialist at that company left for another job, so now I'm attempting to track him down.
Also we're about to leave this company too because we ordered an Analog card so we could have some polycoms but they have been dodging us for over a month about it, and won't return our calls.
