As I get to the end of a big job. 142 runs, 1 voice and two data to each run. I find that when we ran the cabling to each location, sometimes many locations at a time. I am finding that many times the "bundles" of cables wind around each other, making it difficult to separate them for termination. Is there some trick to keeping this from happening in the future? We used decent wire, that "was not" the spool in the box type.

I have no idea what you are talking about. You mean the 3 cables terminating at the location are twisted together.

However, i will say this. Many think it will save time if they pull as much cable at once, than reducing the the amount of cable and doing more pulls. This usually is not the case. Maybe that's what you are getting at.

So what's the trick?

Slow down and pull a lessor amount of cables.

Ed, I feel your pain. Welcome to our forum.

I've found that cable on open reels with moderate tension is the best way to avoid your issue. An easy way to provide tension is to place spools on the fixture or even just a piece of pipe between ladders in opposite spinning directions. This way, each reel's spin creates resistance against the others so that the cable pulls taught.

Unfortunately, this also increases the pulling force required to get the cables into place.

....then after it is cut to working length, un-twist and "comb" into layers so that each panel can be terminated in a "layer". Correct as you go. It gets quicker and easier with time.

At the set end, it will naturally un-twist to work the jscks. Help it as needed.

I've been in this business for a long time, and always had this issue to one extent or another. So to give myself the best chance of NOT having this issue. I should use spools and run them opposite of each other, run fewer bundles at a time, preferably one at a time. Does that about sum it up?

Try to tie a spinner on at the pulling head, something like a large fishing leader. I pulled down some cable tray awhile ago, and it worked well, no twists. I learned about that here. It might work for you.

The swivel is the way to go....

We will typically use a Gopher pole over a ceiling. Looks like I find a swivel to hang off that guy!

Also,

Once you get about 10-12 runs pulled in, tape them together about every 3 feet or so. This makes it much easier to dress in later, that is, having 10-15 neat bundles rather then 150 individual ends all "tangled up and blue".
