I have a large cabling project that is going to make it worthwhile to invest in one. I'm looking at the following...

Agilent WireScope 350
Fluke DSP4300
Ideal LANTEK-6

Anyone have any feedback on any of these?

I can't say which one is the best . We use various Fluke products from Digital MultiMeters , Current Clamps , OTDR to Cable Scanners . We have found them rugged and dependable . My Fluke Digital Multimeter has been dropped to the concrete floor many times over the years and still works without fail . We are a lot more careful with the cable scanners . My opinion

We use the Wirescope 350. Its very nice, works well. You will definately need the memory card. They are coming out with a new version though that is faster than the Fluke DTX. A former tech told me they had a fluke at his last job, said they had to send it back to fluke all the time to get it calibrated. If you are going to spend the money I recommend going with the new Agilent one or the Fluke DTX-1200, 1800. The 12 second is a very big time saver when you have many to test.
No experience with tha Lantek.

I rented a lantek from a supplier, I was not very impressed with it. I bought a fluke dtx 1200 on eBay in the fall. The best investment that I have made yet. The 9 second test is so fast, very easy to use. My previous employed had a wirescope not too bad but not as fast. I have gotten work because of having a tester that can test, save and give the customer a list of the problems, it also has great diagnostic tools.Thats my 2 cents worth.

We bought a Fluke DTX 1800 last fall when we had to unexpectedly scan a large job with CAT 6 plenum at the last minute. What a quality product!! And fast. Easy to download and print or email the certification reports.

We held off buying one for years and were looking at some of the lower priced testers. I'm happy with this purchase.

We have fluke 4100's and recently tried the Lantek 7.

In a trial on testing on a large site, the Lantek way outperformed the Fluke's by a huge margin! (Our Flukes are older though).

Two weeks ago my company purchased two of the Lantek 7's because they are so fast, and they certify lines that we cannot get the older flukes to certify! (except when they find a wire map error, then they are very slow - up to a minute to wire map!)

I imagine the new Flukes are better, but they also cost several thousand more than the Ideal Lantek 7! For the cost, the Lantek’s are a superior product.
