I'm a Mac person using PC only when absolutely necessary. I need to update software on some MP7100 and MP7100a cards.

I successfully loaded iTools on the laptop and I downloaded 4.46 s/w for both the 10 and 10a.

Now I am stumped. Is there a cheat sheet for using iTools to update the MC cards?

I can follow directions, I just don't have any and didn't see any on the website.

Thanks, Bunnie

I thought I clicked on everything but happy to go look again, just didn't know where to start.

Thanks, Bunnie

Samsung Product bulletin 219 covers all the details of how to upgrade software on the MP10 and MP10a cards.

I have all of the MMC cards updated to 4.30i using a card reader.

I tried installing 1.5 IT over the 1.3 and it keeps saying it is 1.3 IT.

Is there a sheet anywhere on using IT Tools, can't find it on GSBN.

Thanks, Bunnie

I can go out and correctly punch down 1A2 from memory, I just can't find "the print" as they would call the old 1A2 instruction sheets.

Go to GSBN:
Communications-technical support-downloads-software versions- then click software notes at the top right corner.

Lastest version is 4.51

Install the latest IT Tool. Easy as that!

I love MAC's but I dont use them at work. No reason other then my work laptop is Windows. I can't tell you how a MAC will work or not work with anything Samsung.

PM me for instructions when upgrading through IT Tool. Not complicated but it's beyond end user stuff.

With a member #16, I don't think you have to worry too much about this being beyond end user stuff. I think ObhhB may have actually swapped a few ideas with ole Reuben himself.

Thanks all, I got a couple pointers from the wonderful Ross at Pyramid and once I got the hang of it, made up a cheat sheet that could be called "Using IT Tools to Upgrade Old Software for Dummies."

PM me if you want a copy, I think I made it so explanatory that even I could have done it if someone had sent me a sheet like this. IT Tools is not intuitive if you have never used it before and once you get the hang of it, is great software.

Now if only I knew how to upgrade TePria cards, that is for tomorrow, couldn't find the instruction in Tech manuals or Bulletins.

Thanks for the offer 6string, I finally got this all nailed down late this afternoon.

Thanks, Bunnie
