I just installed my 1st 7200. The customer has about 40 phones. They were commenting that alot of phones were ringing at random different times of the day. The station group 501 has 4 ext. The AA is giving the option to the caller to press 1 and go to (501). I just found out that Station Group 500 has ALL the ext in it. Is this by default? When your dial (0), it rings Station Group 500. If I take the ext's out of 500 will that stop/help with the problem?

In my experience, that is NOT default. Take those phones out except the operator.

Unless it a 7200-S. They come up with I think the first 32 ports in group 500 if the cabinet is built to hold at least 32.

Yes the new 7200S (single cabinet) comes up default with stations assigned in group 500. and will ring when "0" calls back out of the AA in default.
You could have seen this with IS tool and WEB Manager

That is what happen. The guy who helped me program this did not see it. Callers were pressing 0 for immediate help and EVERBODYS phone were going off. I just deleted all but 3 out of 500 and that took care of it.

thanks
