I purchased 2 iPrimo phones to add to my current Voip system and am unable to get them to connect to our network. They are iPrimo 8900 REV E1 Firmware version 303 and my existing phones are iPrimo 8900 REV B Firmware 500. I have configured the new phones exactly the same as the existing and still can not get them to connect. I have enough licenses for these phones to be added. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Are you trying to connect locally or remote?

User hyperterm to connect to the PBX and select board menu to display the firmware on your VOIP gateway board. Also you can flash firmware into the phones via VMMI.

You have a 2A hardware platform and 3A firmware loaded. Pretty sure you need 4A to run those latest version phones. Also make sure you have the board programmed to expect more than 1 IP set.

also make sure the Comdial board is flashed for ip phones and not networking.

Thank you all for the information. I will see if I can get the firmware update for the VoIP board. It is hard to get anything for this system because it is outdated and Vertical no longer supports it.
