I am working on an OS 500 R2 M Software. The system has a PRI and the customer utilizes DID's.

I have one keyset, an 18 BTN, that is not recieving calls routed by the VM. In other words, If you call in to their "main" number, the call goes directly to the automated attendant and allows you to enter their extension, or do a Dial by name. If you enter the extension number or enter his name in the dial-by-name, it will act like it is ringing his extension, but his phone never rings. It will go to VM like it is supposed to after the timer hits.

On the other hand, if you dial his DID, his phone rings and he can answer it as normal.

I have checked everything i can think of and cant seem to find anything out of the ordinary. I tried resetting the VM in case there was an issue there, but that didn't work.

Anyone have any ideas?

Have you looked at the VM status screen to see what's going on when a call to the main number is routed there? Can you call the station internally ok?
Checked that the mailbox has the right extension associated with it?

That was going to be my next step. The customer is 50 miles away and was trying to avoid the trip.

I was hoping maybe there was another issue that might be causing this, but after reading my own post, I think the answer lies in the VM.

Thanks

Discount Call,

Make sure in VM there is an ext setup. It sounds like only the VM box is setup. Like you said if
you call it thru DID (it is not going thru autoattend)
it rings. BUT if you call thru main number It is now
going thru the autoattend and ext does not ring.

I actually couldn't find anything wrong with the VM programming. So i just deleted the vm box and then recreated it, and now it is working.
