Hi there. If we have the machine punched down to the block correctly, how do we program this unit to play MOH? Alicia

Alicia, you where given the MMC's and switch setting in the previous thread. What else do you need? Have you programmed a Samsung from the phone before? Do you have a Tech in the area that knows the Samsung?

I have a tech that I gave the info to, but he's never programmed a Samsung before and the guy who sold him the system wants a rediculous amount of $ to do the job. I also believe he gave us the wrong set to punch downinto. Said the brown/yellow wires, but the person who wrote to me from this forum gave me something different.
I don't know what mmc's are. Don't know how to do the "switch setting". Where would I find these "mmc's"?
My guy doesn't have his manual either.
I believe the ANS/REL key of which he spoke is located on the physical phone.

MMC stands for Man Machine Code which is a silly korean shortcut for "Program" and it is MMC 408 that sets the music on hold to the lines and 371 would be the "source" rather than "Tone."
MMC 308 would be the program for Background music and it also could be set to 371 if it were music you wanted to listen to and not a commercial MOH message.
You have to know how to get into programming, email me if no one knows how to do that.
Pair 13, Black Green/Green Black is the correct pair for music input.
On the far left side, about mid way up or down, there is a jumper INT EXT. It should be set to EXT for External Music on Hold.
With this info and the ability to get into programming, most any $7 an hour tech can make this work.
Just how much is a "ridiculous amount of $" anyway. I'd be curious to know.

I will have to remember that when I hire a certified tech and explain why his education meant nothing. I thought Calif had a much higher pay scale than other areas. No wonder everyone is leaving the state in record numbers

$7 dollars an hour??? WTF! That's below most anything I know of. Might as well work in fast food scrubbing dishes.

MMC (Machine Man Code) is not a Korean shortcut. It goes back to the original processors that were programmed by hand and is the language/logic used between what we humans understand and what a machine understands. I want one of these $7 an hour techs too!
