Hello again!

Brief (as possible) history: I'm not a phone-guy but was tasked with the duty of installing my phone switch by a an overzealous salesman and an over-confident boss. With two hours of free tech-support and several emails from Bunny(of this board)I was able to get everything up and running. This about 9 months ago.

At the time the tech support guy helped me prepare the switch to forward various numbers to our cell phones. I have the instructions for steps to be taken from the extensions but my instructions for the steps on the switch have been mutilated (looks like someone tore a corner off writing a phone number down).

Where I need help is the settings for the serial connection. 8-N-1? TTY, VT100?

For the holiday my boss "now" wants to forward his line to his cell phone.

After I make the thing talk to me I think I can get the rest done with the remains of my instructions.

Any help would be appreciated. Sorry if this is too vague and also sorry for my ignorance in this matter!

Are you trying to connect to the phone system or to a SVMi voicemail system?
Your settings look like they might be for a voicemail connection.

It looks like the only serial port is on the SVMi card. Am I missing something major?

I am trying to get to where I open the "block table" from the main console. After that I think I'm good.

Sorry for my total lack of knowledge here.....It is very frustrating. The only Samsung phone guy can't be here until next week and my boss wants the phones forwarded this weekend.

Update:
I've begged enough to the "real" phone guy and he'll be here tomorrow! He's going to help me with my problem and fix a couple of things that I didn't get ~quite~ correct.

Thanx......

You go in through Hyperterminal found in Windoz as part of the programming. Is that how you are going in?

Set it up with a modem so the tech can go in and "fix" anything you don't catch this trip. Use one of your lines to go to a TK6 switch (just a double pole, double throw switch that lets the dial tone go to the ksu or to the modem.)

Yes I am going in through hyperterminal. I'm using a laptop at the moment but have a dedicated PC almost ready to go.

This is a very good idea and I would like to offer one more option. If you have a free SLI port you can connect your modem to that port and have the tech set-up a ring plan option that will allow you to change the ringing of any line to the modem with the press of a button on your phone.
