Hi.
Can anyone tell me how to setup a UCD Group?
It should be MMC 601 under " Call type"
A Normal B. VMAA group c.UCD group.
However my options when I try it are only:
A. Normal B. MSG Group.
I don't see any option to setup a UCD group? Is MSG Group the same as UCD group?
Thanks.

your options should be A. Normal Grp B. VMAA group c. UCD group. d. AA Group
These are the options for the Compact and iDCS-100 systems. What system do you have?

If memory servers he has a 500 with a pri unless he is working on a new system
Does it have an AA card or are you using the voicemail
This comes straight from the book To set up simple ucd aplications you need at least one aa card in the system
You have mail

It does not have an AA or a Samsung Voicemail. This is most likely why the UCD groups are not appearing as an option in MMC 601 right? Thanks

I believe in the latest versions of 500R2 software you are limited as to which groups you can set as UCD. It doesn't matter if you have an AA card in the system or not. Try a group number in the lower range and you should see the option. But of course it will not work until you have an actual AA card in the system.

My point was having an AA card in the system doesn't make the option to set a group as AA suddenly appear. You just won't be able to assign the members of the group. This was the question,
"This is most likely why the UCD groups are not appearing as an option in MMC 601 right?"
It is not clear from the post why they were looking for the AA option, but the parameter to set the group as AA should still be there regardless of the presence of an AA card.

Michael
I stand corrected you can set up a ucd group with out the aa card you just cant use it.
how ever you suggested using a lower group. Check that info because all groups from 501 to 529 have normal and ucd available to them its a matter of type 1 ucd or type 2 ucd, type one allows an analog device to play while a caller is on hold and type 2 is for aa group use
at any rate I was wrong in answering yes to his question and I am guilty of reading the first part of the last post " think I found the problem. The system is using a 3rd party voicemail system connected to its SLI ports. It does not have an AA or a Samsung Voicemail" and not the second ucd part. this all stems from trying to set up a basic ucd group and that wont happen without the card.
