I've been upgrading all of our remote locations to the IPK 2.
Each location is also connected together with router-to-router VPN connections.
The goal is to achieve intercom calling through VoIP.

Whenever I bring a new IPK online, I go into the other systems and add the new locations information.
It seems that, whenever I make such changes, I have to reboot ALL locations before they will start communicating with VoIP again.
Also, even though NEC support said that the Master/Slave settings shouldn't matter, I definately have to define one system as master.

I'm a little worried that if one system goes down, it will disable the VoIP connectivity between all locations.

Can anybody shed some light on VoIP connectivity caveats?

Thanks

Update:

I now have 7 IPK II's connected via CCIS.
Using PCPro, I was finally able to set them all up as MASTER. I was able to verify that, in this scenario,
if one of the CCIS destinations was down, it did NOT kill the connectivity to the other destinations.

If your refering to 84-05-05, this command does not indicate whether the site is a master or slave. This indicates which PVA/IAD is the master when more than one is installed in a cabinet.
The PVA sends out "keep alives" continuously to each site and if these aren't replied to the PVA will eventually lock up.
If your using a service pack higher than SP01J or SP01X, please downgrade asap. Also apply CCISoIP PKG 1.58 or the latest 1.59T4. This should solve a lot of issues.
