Here is the problem, I have a 2000IPS and an AD-64. Already been through the feature programming manual and assigned 08, 51, and overwrote the answer key in 9000 with a F5001. All users are in tenant group one and 51 is assigned for group one with the VM pilot. Trying to troubleshoot remotely so I can't verify that it isn't user error. Just seeing if you guys have any input before I go out to site.

What are you trying to do?

You may want an F5012 key instead of F5001, that's what I usually use.

neither feature key worked.

Trying to use the quick transfer feature of the 2000.
-Receptionist (Dterm Series E 32 button phone with DSS Console) gets the call.
-User asks for someone who isn't there.
-Receptionist asks if user would like Voicemail.
-User says yes.
-Receptionist transfers call to number and hits 9, or the feature button, and nothing happens.
-Receptionist hangs up phone and user is transfered to destination station.
-When the CFNA timer is reached user is sent to destination stations mailbox.

Receptionist doesnt have a problem transferring calls and letting them ring, problem is when someone has fat fingered their phone and cleared CFNA. Call will timeout and go back to the receptionist. Receptionist has no way of sending user to destination stations VM box.

2000 Stuff

Try the "Quick Transfer to VM" cheat sheet from this page. It's run by Pat Thiele, who knows d%%n near everything about NEC. The cheat sheet link downloads a PDF file, so you'll need Acrobat Reader.

Looks like the trick is making a virtual and CFA the virtual to VM. Then either map the virtual to the real mailbox, or else make a mailbox for the virtual and have it point to the real one. "transfer" = no, "Greeting" = Silence and "Action" = Goto --> xxx

Also, I recommend changing the FAC for "Cancel Call Forward" to ##*8#3**2 just to keep fat fingers away from it.

Changed the call forward cancel codes, forgot to do that until I read your post. I already followed 2000 Stuff cheat sheet to band-aid fix the problem. I am trying to figure out why the quick transfer feature isn't working. Might call NEC and see what input they have on it.

Another tip for when quick transfer works; we build a rule (in the AD-40 and AD-64) for the virtual numbers to point to main box. If you dont have that rule in the VM, if you have virtuals on all phones quick transfer will go to MainGreeting of VM, because the quick transfer is sending the digits of the virtual box, not the prime line. To couter that you build a rule to remap the virtual line to prime like in 2000stuff's cheat sheets.

If intercom calls are set for 'Voice', then you cannot quick transfer to VM.

Actually, you can quick transfer to VM if internal calls are set to voice. The system is just looking for a ringback before it will transfer

If everything is set to default, pressing 1 after dialing an extension changes "Voice" to ringing...it's a much longer process but it can be done.
