I am helping a customer who bought their 2nd Talkswitch when the first one maxed out on phones. They first tried IP phones. They were so different from the regular TS phones they got a 2nd unit to add more analog TS phones.
They hook together only thru the LAN. Now when a set on unit A gets a Dial Tone from the unit B or even a unit to unit call the sound quality is bad.
These phones, TS 200's, seem to be loud in your ear while you speak too.
Its a bit of a problem to use anyway, but is this as good as these can sound? They didn't really complain about noise until the second one was added.

ndt4u, the few (3) in my area are all CG installs. Therefore the quality is the quality of the install. By adding the second via the LAN you have now added all the network issues. Do you have the QOS you want? No. How good is your LAN? You see, TS isn't a telephone system. It is a very low grade computer with all the drawbacks of a computer. Yes, they are cheap and that is what you get. Talk your customer into a real phone system (TDM), hybrid, and expandable. Good Luck.
