Does anyone know how to get the system to stop doing this? When I transfer the incoming calls to an extension, it goes straight to voicemail and I can't figure out how to have it ring them and THEN go to voicemail if they don't answer after a couple of rings.

Remove call forward to voicemail.

To remove call forward, lift handset or press/on-
off button.
press FWD button,dial 640 or 642.

Then set call forward no answer,busy/no answer
to 440. This can be controlled by call forward timer to your liking.

This is found in station user manual, and you
need to read about your call forward feature in more detail to take full advantage of features.

You aren't hitting your voice mail button and then their DSS button before transferring the call are you ? Or is their phone possibly in do not disturb ? It would be easier to answer your question if we knew exactly how you are transferring the call. Are you using the transfer button or simply hitting their DSS button ?

call forward to voicemail should be set at the extension by dialing 6409440. Do this after you do the call forward remove. Then make sure extensions are not in dnd.

It also depends on what voice mail you're using. If it is a Talkpath/Dispatch, a Pathfinder or a Pathfinder Inskin you may have to add an item to the registry to get it to work properly.
