HELLO EVERYONE!
LOOKING FOR SOME HELP WITH A STRATA DK56... I'VE DEALT NAMELY WITH AVAYA AND NORTEL SYSTEMS, SO PLEASE PARDON THE LONG POST.
I'VE GOT A FRIEND WHO WAS GIVEN THIS SYSTEM... IT HAS 1PCTU, 1 PDKU, 1 PEKU, 2 PCOU, 3-65xx (1 W/DISPLAY0) SETS AND 10-2020 (4-W/DISPLAY)SETS.
WITH INITIAL START UP... THE SYSTEM COMES UP AND CAN GET THE 65xx- SETS TO WORK AND CALL OUT BUT NOT THE DIGITAL ONE. I GET NO POWER ON THEM, NOT SURE IF DEF CARD OR SLOT ASSIGNMENT??? I GOT THE MANUALS AND TRYING TO ACCESS THE PROGRAM MODE VIA ONE OF THE 65xx SET BUT NOT SURE IF THE SET IS BAD OR IN WRONG PORT TO ACCESS IT SINCE THE DISPLAY DOES NOT REFLECT IT. I'VE TRIED EXT200 AND 205 FROM WHAT I'VE READ AND NEITHER SEEMS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITH THE DISPLAY. I'VE TRIED SWAPPING STATION CARD IN THE SLOTS AND STILL THE SAME (CAN POWER ELECTRIC SETS BUT NOT DIGITAL SETS). ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED

The DK56 is an Electronics only system. So, although the PDKU card fits, it will not work. It is meant for systems designed after the DK24,56,96 series e.g. DK280, DK380 and so on.

Thats not true the DK 56 will handle a PDKU , you program from port 05 , make sure the code for the PDKU is set for 62 , and you must cycle the power after you program the card in program 03

DK 56 R2 is electronic only
R3 can handle pdku
check in pgm 00 what release you have

But shouldn't my display reflect when I've entered program mode? According to manual it should??? It only displays stn, date and time when I enter the command.

Are you on port 05 ? Not always X-205 , hook up to port 05 at the system
