I'm 99% there with Flash integration; User IDs done, Auto Attendant answering; Just can't get Fwd-No-Ans from my phones to go to their individual mailboxes-- they fwd-no-ans to the 990 mbox.

This is on a DK-16 integration.

Any help?

-Jim

Hi Jimbobebob are you using smdi or dtmf? if using smdi then providing you setup smdi correctly in the flash it should work, if using dtmf you need to enter the following on each phone, #656 91 extn no: # or redial to store( i can never remember the last bit) then #657 92 extn no: # or redial to store

Its a DK16, I don't think the "#656" will work. Just try 656 91 ext redial, and 656 92 ext redial.

DTMF integration

Yes, I saw the 656/657 stuff in the User Guide, but when I tried it from a phone, although the programming sequence worked, it then showed constantly in the screen 'Fbsy-NA:250'....which is all fine and good for on-the-fly, but I was more trying to have it programmed in the system, and automatically happen, not that the users would have to put the (656) code ON, then take the (657) code OFF, as it were.

I had used Prog 36 for all ports (except VM's ports) and made the default Call Forward extension for each phone, that of VM. Yet when I programmed a button on each phone for CFAC (86 I believe it was), it DID forward to the voicemail system, but dropped into the default 990 mailbox.

So, am I left with having the users put a FWD code on, and take it back off when they return to their desks?

Thanks for all the help guys,

Jim

Program 36 "Fixed call Forwarding" is no good cause your phone isn't ringing and all calls go straight into forwarded destination. User can't change it and this is no good. You have to understand that until you register Ext. with comands 656 & 657 your VM will not recognized Ext. forwarded and instead of personal MB will send a call to Main Greeting(999). If you do CF-BNA or CF-NA(603) then you don't have to do that every time you are leaving but if you do CFAC(601) then you have to take your Forwarding off every time you are coming back which is pain in the b...

To clarify: I'm using Prog 36 Fixed Call Forwarding in combination with the '86' feature button on button mapping so each phone has a one-touch button as 'Call Fwd to VM'. And that works fine, albeit except for dropping into 999, which what I gather is, I just need to do the 656 from each phone to 'register' it's VMID code, and the 657 to setup 'Message Retrieval'. So I think that's OK and that's the 'FWD TO VM' scenario.

The second scenario is this 'FWD NO ANSWER' scenario, which is looking like I'll want to dial the 603 code from each phone to specify, in my case, x250 (or port 08) as the FNA destination. My question here is, when I do the 603 from each phone, after I've completed the procedure, does the display constantly show 'Fwd-No-Ans: 250', or does that go away once programmed?

Sorry, my background is Norstar, not Toshiba, so I'm learning this on the fly!

It will constantly show, thats by design. It allows a visual indication that the phone, or sometimes a phantom is call forwarded and to where.
You can press your PAGE button below your display(middle one of the three soft keys)to toggle between Name and Call Forward but every time you use the phone it will return to Call Forward on Display by default.
