Hi folks. I need to buy a new tone generator and
induction wand as my old ones seem to be weakening. I'm thinking that they are all about the same but was wondering which ones y'all prefer. Thanks in advance.

Aines and Progressive (Tempo) make good ones.

I can't speak about Progressive since Tempo bought them out, but the 77HP/6A toner with the 200FP filter probe is hard to beat.

I'm partial to the Aines Tone Generator myself.

Me too. I just noticed that the one a Verizon tech had seemed to be louder than mine. The newest of mine is a few years and this one looked newer, the toggle switch was different- no nut. So it looks like Aines made the most powerful toner even more powerful.

I really like the Aines toner too. The best probe I've ever used is the A-bug but they were also bought out and Fluke now has the pro 3000 that I've been curious about since they had the 140 that was the same A-bug branded Fluke.
