Thanks for all your replys. I had someone else test the cable before and I retested the cable myself yesterday and it works. So my problem is somewhere in the DK 424.

Again is the slot programmed for the Pdku-2
and not in a slot that exceeds the software capability of the system.
Swap the pdku-2 with a known good one.

Did you get a manual and is port 005 good?
Post back the config of the system card by card starting on the left.

Ok, how can I tell if a slot is programed for a PDKU, when I cant get port 5 (or any port) to work. I tried all slots with a working PDKU. Just tried the Processor (RCTU BA/BB)in another DK 424 and it did the same thing so it looks like its the processor. Thanks for your replys.
Edit:I am a noop so not sure what you mean by config on system board. Also I dont have the processor in front of me but I looked at another BA/BB we have and the left processor card had a piggy back card on top of it and the one im having problems with doesnt.

OK 1- take the processor cards out and remove the battery strap on the card that has the rca jack on it and the silver battery about the size of a quarter then put it back on in the on position.
2- put the processor back in rca one on left also there are 2 ribbon cables between the cards right ?
3- you dont need the piggy back card like the other on ,it a dtmf and not needed now
4- put the pdku-2 in slot s11 should be next one after processor and plug in your cable.
5- go to the power supply and there is a small white jumper labeled dksu-b or dksue there should be a jumper plugged in with a green looped wire.this is critical to make this a ksu not an expansion cabinet.
6- now there a 3 white needle fuses in the power supply labeled 1-2-3 push each one in no muscling required.
7- go to your installation book and follow the directions for a new installation.
8-you should get phones for 000-007 005 is your prog port
let me know
