Please assist in programming a button on the set to ring the voice mail.

I've added two new extensions to the system, but they are not programmed like the other 16 extensions. Can I copy the button programming from a set that does work? What is the default extension for the NVM-2E? Do I need to program anything on the VM to allow these new extensions to work?

That was good stuff. The users now have the button programmed and it rings their VM box.

However, there is a routing issue in the call flow that I need help with now. All calls ring the front desk (x301). She will transfer the call to x320, where is will ring 8 times, then return the front desk. How do I program the transfer to ring X times at the extension, then go to VM?

program 1027 fixed call forwarding

forward the set type 2 to the first port of voicemail.

program 0405 item 1 = the time (in seconds) the call will ring the set before forwarding. Usually this is set for 15 seconds.

this is entering installer programming however

I should mention that in program 1027, you need to specify the port number, not the extention number. In most cases, port 01=301, 02=302, ...etc.

More help needed re: programming buttons:

We have 12 button non-display sets and 24 button display sets, and I can't seem to be able to program the VM button on the 12 button set. Following the steps above (spkr, 851, button, 1059, etc.), once done it makes a single tone, but the VM button remains inactive.

Plugging the 24 button display set in at that location, I'm able to successfully program the VM button (button 24), but when the 12 button unit is plugged back in, the VM button is again inactive.

Also, with the 24 button set, I tried programming button #12 as the VM, but again it made the same tone as before and that button remains inactive.
