Does the console have a LCD display? If not it is an SX200 analog.

If it DOES have a console with a LCD display;

Is the control unit approximately the size of a washing machine, or even 2 washing machines side by side? That is an SX200 Digital.

Does it have 2 or more cabinets that look like computer cabinets? That is an SX200 Light.

Does it have 1 or more cabinets that look vaguely like microwave cabinets. That is an SX200 ML/EL.

That will get us started.

I believe he means use the same make/model of equipment in both properties for commonality and ease of maintenance.

No, I mean the properties probably have either loop or ground start trunks, not T1. If that's the case, an ATA (Arris, Motorola, etc.) brings 2-wire tip and ring trunks into the PBX. In today's climate of cheap trunks and immediate ring, you can convert the PBX to loop start and just reprogram trunking to prevent glare.

Your toaster oven has a series of card with black faces and either blue or white letters on the cards with designations like ONS and DLC or whatever (geeze I'm not going out to the warehouse at 4am to look). One of the csrds, like in slot 9 or 10 is the processor card with the letters ML or EL III.

Now, go back and tell us that you don't have an LCD console again or, maybe the toaster oven says SX-100 and the cards have 9110 part numbers on it? A 200 analog box has 8 line per station, 4 lines per trunk and the cards have black, blue, green, red, yellow, and orange tabs that fit in slots number 1-20. a 200 ML/EL has 12 lines per station card and 6 lines per trunk card and slots number 1-8 with the Bay control card in 9 and the processor in 10 or 11 or some such. The SX-200 analog has a black/brown console with LED's and the 200 ML/EL has a white console with LCD's.

Either way, it sounds like you have analog trunks and they interface to 2-wire t&r trunking.

The ML/EL actually has 14(?) slots and the processor (9109-610-XXX) is in 14(?) just to the left of the Power supply.

And the ML/EL cabinet has a translucent plastic panel in it for most of the face, but the SX100 has an all metal front door.

When you say that there's not an LCD display, LH and CN were not talking about on the part that looks like a toaster oven.

Somewhere, probably near the Front Desk, there's a "master telephone" that is called a "console." It may say "Superset 1000" or something like that on it. If THAT has a LCD display, that's what LH meant.

And getting back to your original question, yes, there's configuration that you'll need to do in the SX200.

It would be very much worthwhile to have a Mitel dealer come out and help you with this project. It'll cost you some money for the service, but it'll save you money in downtime and emergency call-outs.
