I am the service provider and we are providing sip accounts for a customer who has bought a Mitel 5000. Our equipment is a Cisco IAD2431 and we are connecting to their PBX with the T1 port configured as a 16 channel PRI.
The problem is that they can pick up the phone and get dial tone that is generated by the mitel. They dial 8 + 7 digits and after a few seconds you hear a slight pause and then dial tone again. The second dial tone is being generated by the Cisco box. During this dial tone you can dial the 7 digits again and the call will complete.
Talking to the tech that is installing the Mitel it seems like the Mitel isn't very flexable so I am trying figure out a way to change my end. I am hoping someone has gone through this before with another provider. I know that Nuvox uses the same Cisco box on their VoIP product.

Sounds like the installer needs to use ARS. I have installed alot of those 5000s. The only proper way to manage the use of the PRI is to use ARS. Good Luck
