Is it possible to just have a mailbox that is not tied to a physical phone? If so how do I make this extension ring directly to a mailbox
Yes this is possible.
Do you want both inside and outside calls to go to the mailbox? A quick fix for this would be to just properly set up the forwarding path for this station.
