When you make your first crip watch were the "fingers" line up with the amphenol head. There should be adjustment screws on the top of the crimper, then lock screws on the sides (just about mid way down the connector clamp)
The fingers do not adjust but the amphenol clamp does.
Before your first crimp check to make sure these things line up. Waste a connector if you need to but I cant stand to waste the time I spent threading a cable just to find that I smashed some of the pins and the connection is no good.
To be honest I just buy my cables these days (slacker) LOL
