Over on the Antique Telephone Collectors Association forum, about nine zillion electrons lost their lives recently during a mind-numbing discussion about whether the K in KS stands for Kearny (in NJ, where there was a humungous Western Electric plant) of if it stands for Kellogg, who made telephone equipment for the independents, and occasionally for Bell.
