We have a CTX670 with one zone and the issue we had was when you started to page and the phone rang the page would be cut off in favor of the ring tone. I think this is because we use pool keys and all phones ring for any call to the building, a requirement due to us handling chemical emergencies at my company.
The way we fixed it was to buy an overhead paging system and page it like an extension. Not really what we wanted but the vendor said that was the only way to do it.
So I wonder if the paging at the phones in question are being cut off by a incoming call? Just a guess because it sounded familiar to me.
