Case in point.

My customer has a Magix with a PRI. When the customer calls out over the PRI, instead of showing the BTN (main number) , the associated DID number is shown on the called party's caller ID. How would I change that switch (PRI) setting?

Thanks.

So, what is the problem there?

I am sorry for question. At first time your explanation did not come up. You have to go to PRI, go to Base Number option, choose Base Number w/ext. and put the number you would like to send on outgoing calls.

I wanted the called party's caller ID to display the main telephone number instaed of the my caller's(from the Magix) DID number.
My assumption is that my Magix is sending the DID number in the PRI programming. Is that correct?

Should the PRI be idle? And do I have to power the switch down after changing setting?

Thanks Vad60.

"You have to go to PRI, go to Base Number option, choose Base Number w/ext. and put the number you would like to send on outgoing calls."

Well, not really.

You originally stated you wanted the Main Listed Number, rather than the D-I-D.

If you are getting the D-I-D as the outgoing caller ID, then the option is currently set for BASE NUMBER with Extension.

Again, you said that's not what you want.

Thus, you must DE-ACTIVATE that setting and choose the setting of "LINE TELEPHONE NUMBER".

And THEN, you have to program the MAIN LISTED NUMBER for each and every trunk that dials out.

At de-activation...would that effect calls (lack of data) going out and coming into the Telephone System.
Should it be at an idle time?
The customer is an investment organization with brokers on and off of the telephones.

Thanks for you constant assistance merlinman and vad60.
