I have a customer that I proposed adding a T-1 Card to the R7.0 ACS and also adding 2 012 Modules. Is this possible, because I stumbled across something saying that the 012 module also has to go in the first slot if using more than one. So can I use both or is it either the T-1 Module or the 012 Module, not Both?

The 012 can be put in any slot but it must be to the left of any 200,400. You should be fine.

If you are using a T1 mod it goes in the first slot then the 012's after that.

Thanks for the info. The supplier book seems to be a little different.
Would I be able to use the Partner Messaging behind an ACS R7.0 in a 2 slot carrier, as the above book also mentions only in 5 Slot carrier?
Thanks for the help.

Yes, you can use a 2-card carrier to join a Partner ACS and a Partner Messaging.
The 5-card carriers space the modules further apart for better heat dissipation so most techs will simply go with the 5-card carrier and avoid the 2-card carrier.

What supplier book? Go to the Avaya site and download the installation and use docs. Are you a Business Partner?

I am a business partner, and the book I was looking in was from Jenne Distributors. I really didn't see anything about using both in the installation and use docs.
Thanks for the help.

Jenne never gave me one so I can't say. It is in the docs on the CD.

I will implement a IP solution with Axxess (Intertel), I need to buy an IP PBX. I do like Nortel and Avaya, but their price is very high.
What other brands do you guys consider I should also take a look. My application is for 75 IP Licences.
Alcatel? Tricom? Siemmens?
