Hal, I have no doubt you're right. I downloaded the translations to my pc and looked at Calling Group 1 and most of the extensions were assigned. I don't remember doing it, so maybe by default it puts them all there? Either way, I assigned ALL the extensions to CG1 to make sure they all would page.
I also figured out a workaround I like. I assigned the Loudspeaker Paging Line to line 31, a non-existent line. No more screech, and I can go back to using I*70. I've considered connecting an amp and speakers to the partner, but really don't have a need right now. If I ever do, I'll have to revisit this.

Default is "Not Assigned". See what happens if you don't assign your SLT extensions to a calling group. (If you have them assigned.)
