I've posted before about my IPRC resetting a fewtimes per day and thte issue is back - never resolved it before just sorta went away after resetting the card.
Anyway i've got an Axxess 8.1 system and here is my current firmware info:
Version: 8.2.0
Build Date and Time: Tue Jul 27 2004 14:31:02
Boot Version: 1.2.3
Boot Build Date and Time: Mon Oct 22 2001 16:23:31
I have a file in my intertel firmware folder called IPRC Firmware v9.0.0.hex if i upgraded the firmware to thsi version would it still be compatible with my 8.1 system?
I'm just trying to do something to stop these phones from resetting.
My other thought was to try to switch all the phones to my other IPRC that is configured for external - offsite - use as those phones aren't mission critical. Is there an easy way to switch 8 phones from one IPRC to another?
Any help is as always appreciated!

Are the fones resetting or is the IPRC resetting? This is important, don't assume that the card is resetting just because the fones are.

While its the only common Inter-Tel component, don't forget about the rest of the components which are responsible for getting the keep-alive packets routed between the IPRC and endpoint. You may want to try a telnet session with the IPRC and dump it's message print records as they are different from the Axxess records. See what you get.

Before you upgrade anything on the IPRC I would look at the software on your IP phones. When the IP phones are booting on the display you will see what software level they are at. Post your model numbers and software levels for them. There where several issues with earlier endpoint software that would cause phones to repeatedly reset. Resetting the IPRC would temporarily resolve the problem.

I would atleast upgrade the boot code to 2.1.12. There are numerous issues with previous versions.

2.1.12 is CPC boot code. You can try 9.0.0 IPRC firmware, but I doubt that'll help. Can you post the message print log so we can see the card resetting?

Also where would i get the newest firmware for the card and/or phones?
