Hi Everyone, I replaced the bad Repartee with a NEAXMail AD-64 connecting to A NEAX ICS 2400 PBX, The VM is programmed and up and running but doesn't answer when called, the lines are tested and connected to the diologic boards via 36 pin cable to AMP connectors to the block, All I get is a ring no answer when I call it, I know they punch down weird, I beleive it starts on the W/O pair block pins 2/27, then skips a pair and so on down the line, the AD-64 was working on a 2000 IVS for a short while, then removed, defaulted the AD-64 system and programmed for the NEAX 2400, It will not work, I'm at my witt's end, I have tried everything, what am I missing frown Please HELP!

Have you tried connecting a phone to the ports to see if they answer? Sounds like a cabling/ cross-connect problem.

2400 ICS uses 16-port cards with 1.5 cards per cable. It should be continuous down the block, from Wh/Bl to Ye/Bl, then the second card starts Ye/Or and goes to Vi/Br, starts over Wh/Bl on the next cable and goes to Re/Gr. Card 3 Re/Br to Vi/Br.

You would only skip pairs if you have an 8-port card.

Remember that Violet Slate never has a date, poor girl.

Putting on a Feature Phone (Dterm) and testing for ring is the best way to verify wiring / cross connect.

Yea, I connected a phone, it works, rings everything. the skipping pairs is on the AD-64 block coming from the 36 pin plug of the vm, It Reads pins 1/26 is Ch 1: 4 wire transmit, pins 2/27 Ch 1: 4 wire receive or pins 2/27 Ch 1: 2 wire transmit/receive.

Okay, been a while on Active-voice... Lessee... When you log into the AD-64, I believe that EZSetup is a tab at the top on those... not like the F5/F6 on the OS2 models.

You want to find the setting for the port behavior and set them to Ans, except for at least two ports that will be A/D (Answer/Dial-out). I don't think that there is a setting for how many rings before it answers, but it should be immediate.

Is your AD64 set for digital integration or MCI/OAI?

I have tried both, NEC 2400 Digital and NEC Digital w/MCI, also NEC 2400 w/MCI. I can actually see the calls now trying to call in but never get answered, I will call from a extension, the port shows "incoming call" then sometimes shows the extension number or it shows Day-CWID, then shows transfering to "O" operator, then it shows error 101-5,7--121,0 or error 140-6,0--9,0 ( the --9 appears to be the port number as its on port 9, then it shows -10 on port 10 as so on, I couldn't find what these codes mean anywhere), yet my calling extension is still ringing and never answered, and this is on all ports. The 2400 phone system had a Repartee with analog lines on it, then I added a 16- ELCJ-B and programmed it up for digital lines and moved the lines over to the AD-64, is there any other programming on the 2400 that may need done or changed? I know its an integration issue, but where, I've been trying everything with no luck frown

I seem to recall that in the COS settings for the ports, you'll need to tell it that these are Voicemail Ports with MCI.

Lemmee find that silly manual...

I believe that you're looking for the ASFD command, and then ASFC. I could be wrong, so check the manual on me.

Thanks Telephoneguy, I didn't see anything in ASFC except 23: Voice Mail Password Display Elimination and I don't have ASFD command in my manual, but yea, that's what I was wondering if there is somewhere to tell them they are VM ports. Is TEC:26 in ASDT VPS (voice processing system or voicemail)?
