That is why I said "every dx120 you touch"
There are no more new dx120 cabinets so they are all used when installed. Everyone should check these voltages when they are checking out a system on the bench or when being installed or when at a customer site for any reason. I did not mean to imply you should go to every site just to check them out. Next time your customer complains about weird issues with the display or intermittent co function you need to be checking the voltage as those are both symptoms of a failing power circuit and if left unrepaired can lead to a burnt up unit. This is a FACT. This is good advice meant only to help avoid repeated service calls for weird issues and minimize down time and expense for your customers

Per King Technologies
Due to the decreasing availability of DX120 cabinets King Technologies will immediately offer out of warranty repairs for systems with burnt circuit boards caused by failures in the power circuit.

After the DX80 PS problems we do check cabinets we pull out of service and return to the shop. We also upgrade if needed to F22, test all CO and station ports.

I don't believe we've hardly ever replaced a cabinet in the field because of weird issues. Usually it's either dead or a faulty CO port (low volume). We install ground and battery backups on all systems.

Now, if we are supposed to check every time we're at a customer site then one would think somebody at Vertical might have just mentioned this. Would have saved some hassles.

Regardless, I'm done with this. I have about a dozen cabinets left so we should probably be OK as long as the majority replaced can be repaired.

I sent the one marked "Unrepairable" to Telmar yesterday. We'll see what happens with the latest one.

I do appreciate the offer of out of warranty repair pricing. Thank You.
