Looking for some help with a Sprint Protege LTX ..

im trying to change some configurations to be able to use a 4th telephone line in the system. it currently has 3 lines and is working fine but i need to be able to add a 4th.

im looking for the system admin manual for initial setup and maintenance.

also looking for the software that goes with this system. i cant find anything on it.

any help would be greatly appreciated !!!

On the Sprint system 99% of the programming is done through a laptop propritary software programs like Procomm and Hyper-Terminal will not work.

Unless you are familiar with the Protege system I would recommend contacting a local experienced telephone installer.

If you do not understand the difference between Loop-Start and Ground-Start, then this is probably best left to a professional.

i work in telecommunications and deal with ISDN DIGITAL and VOIP phone systems.

i am familiar with CISCO COMEDIAL NEC AVAYA NORTEL ASTRA and VERTICAL
phone systems.

i have never come across at SPRINT LTX system ...from my research there are very few ppl that have any experience with them. also parts and support are just as hard to find. last i had heard a company by the name of KINGS TECHNOLOGIES had bought up all the SPRINT line and was pretty much the only place you could get parts and support for that type of system(besides ebay of course)

and with loop-start and ground-start .. are you referring to the current in the lines on the phone system??? loop not having current and ground having current?

the only thing im trying to do is add a 4th line to the system. they have 3 lines in the system already and are trying to add a 4th and i have no documentation on that part of the system. i have the documentation on the voicemail and auto attendent system and i can do alot of what i need for it there but nothing about that actual configuration of that system.
