Very interesting! I thought the 107 was used in conjuction with a regular phone so everyone in the room could listen in to the conversation. Does anyone know what the voltage requirement of the 107 was?

"Does anyone know what the voltage requirement of the 107 was?"
Did you read para 3.03 in the BSP that I provided?

Yes, the 107 was designed so that everyone in the room could hear both sides of a conversation. It is/was essentially an amplified speaker that was wired across the receiver side of the handset.
However, as an amplified speaker it worked perfectly as a mini-speaker attached to an intercom circuit.
The power for the unit is, as Arthur pointed out, 18VAC.

Re: Arthur Bloom's question. No, I didn't see a BSP. Sorry
Re: Silversam: Is the 18VAC provided by a 2012 B or D? Thanks. Do you know if a 759 could be used in the same way a 107 could?

Thank you for the info and thanks for the BSP. It was very informative. I always wondered where it was actually hooked up to in the phone.

It goes across the receiver leads, so that it will amplify both the transmitted and received signals equally, and the output will sound balanced, just like the way a handset works. The sidetone is not too loud, not too weak.

Arthur -
Was that the same control unit as the 3B speakerphone?
