How to program?
SOFTWARE? HYPERTERMINAL ? pROCOMM?
hELP
Please email direct a number to call you at.
I appreciate help always.
I did work one one of the old Premier systems with those "Slow Blow" fuses on the card that would blow if you sneezed near the cabinet.
However, It was in 1998 but I do remember the laptop. email [email protected]

The IVX intergrates through analog stations and is programmed with software that is loaded on your PC with a special cable.

The Premier programms with Hyper Terminal using a serial cable.

I appreciate your attempt to help me.
However, Telling me that the IVX programs with "Software" is a little bit too general.
I figured analog since its 20 yrs old.
The system has been started and the alrams cleared except for DB alarm.
No issue these since it will clear once the system has been intialized.

Conflicting reports!!!!
Does the Premier ESP telephone system program with Hyperterminal or Procomm?

What is "Special Cable"?

I remember techs back in 1990 having to program that with a "silent 7", or a "system 7"--???-there were no laptops then and the only reason that I remember this--is that the owner of the company that I worked for back in '90 showed me one just about 2 weeks ago--and we talked about how mad so & so would get because he had to type in all this stuff on this machine to program the ESP. Perhaps they are doing it with Hyperterminal or ProComm now, though. It seemed to be quite a process back then.

I used to play with the ESP back when. It's pretty straight forward, at I thought.

You can use either hyperterminal or procomm and you baud will have to match the card jumper setting 9600max

Its not a "special cable" its a standard db9 serial cable

Once connected just hit enter, IF everything works right pretty easy system to program and as MR.Telephoneman said don't sneeze near it.

Meaning, if you want to program the IVX, you need to buy software from InterTel.

Thanks Guys.
What software do I need?
Isnt there a name for it?
Any idea the cost?
Many pc based voicemail system have a key that is plugged in to the back.
This looks like a key but says MOD TAP and has an RJ-11 6C plug on the back.
This is a programming interface for the IVX500 isnt it?
