I just bought a building with a Sprint Protege CTX system and need some help trying to understand it. I have been able to find no software for the system nor any programming guides at all. I am technical ( 10+ years engineer in nortel (voip and data) so I'd understand the material. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a few issues that need to be addressed immediately, like understanding what to do about a dedicated fax line on the equipment and getting up to speed on it for an office move if anyone has any pointers.

Hi Guys!

I got I think a majority of this under my belt this week, but I'm plagued by one problem I cant figure out.

I have all of the greetings changed as much as I can identify and when a caller calls they hear my message greeting. After that plays, it seems like another greeting kicks in which I can not find anywhere in the system.

Am I mising something in the greeting flow?

Is it easier to just default the VM/Greeting system and start from scratch?

It is unclear which voice mail system you have. If you have the Protege Voice, then then you need to develop "flow-chart".

Such as:
  • Voice Menu 1, Greeting 1
  • Voice Menu 1, Greeting 2
  • Voice Menu 1, Greeting 3
  • Voice Menu 2, Greeting 1
  • Voice Menu 2, Greeting 2
  • Voice Menu 98, Greeting 1


You need to view the times and see if there are no overlapping or missing. Also you can go into the ADMIN mail box and listen to the greetings and find the the mystery greeting that way.

That is to say:

Go into the ADMIN MAILBOX and listen to all "possible" greetings, and when you find the greeting that is totally WRONG, then go into Voice Menu and delete that particular setting.

Is that as clear as mud?
