New to the Sprint Coral III and am (reluctantly) having to get up to speed on basic MACs to it.

Using version 14.15.09

I have some ISDN DID numbers that are pointed to Boss Group numbers. The reason we are using Boss Groups is that we need simultaneous ringing on a group of extensions for some specialized applications.

Questions for the experts:

1) Where does one specify the busy and no answer destinations for calls that ring, or are blind transferred to a Boss Group?

2) What determines how long the call will ring to the Boss Group before following the no answer destination? I see a timer in the parameters for the Boss Group, but it's not clear how this actually works.

3) What are the interactions between Boss Group timers and member extension timers? For example: if ext 123 is programmed to CF_NO_ANS to voicemail after 4 rings, can I have the Boss Group, of which 123 is a member, ring 6 times?

Thanks in advance!

Here's my question:

Answers:

1. go into FEAT under control and specify the boss group number and the call forward destination ( vmail ) ext or the final destination

2. The Call Foward no answer timer can determine the amount of rings but there is also a "ring" timer in the boss group as well. Just remember the Call Foward timer is a system timer and will override any other timers.

3. The answer to number 3 is Yes, but it will take some trial and error. Use a mixture of the first two answers to get this one to work correctly.

Thanks! I'll have to experiment with the timers, but found the no answer programming for the boss's groups right away.
